Feuertrutz Award ‘Product of the Year 2023’ for GLORIA GmbH

Every year, the FeuerTrutz Award trophy honours pioneering products and concepts in three different fire protection categories. The jury, consisting of FeuerTrutz readers and a panel of experts, helped the VR Fire Trainer onto the winners' podium, and rightly so. The GLORIA VR Fire Trainer paves the way for a new type of fire extinguishing training in the virtual world. The product consists of virtual reality glasses (VR headset) and a dummy fire extinguisher. Using the VR headset, training participants enter various virtual environments and are guided through realistic exercises that simulate various fire scenarios. Additional functions such as fire spread, smoke development and material flammability provide an unprecedented degree of reality. The GLORIA VR Fire Trainer is also characterised by its mobility; it does not require an external computer and is therefore ideal for use almost anywhere and at any time.
