There is no longer a need to use real fires or a fully operating fire extinguisher to emulate real-world scenarios when it’s done better virtually. With the GLORIA VR Fire Trainer, anyone in the company can be trained using only a VR headset and a dummy fire extinguisher. As our product solution does not rely on a computer, you can train anywhere, at any time.
The participant is guided through realistic exercises that simulate different fire scenarios in different rooms. One moment you are in an open-plan office where a stack of boxes is on fire, and the next you are in the kitchen facing a oil fire.
The user now has to select the appropriate fire extinguisher with the appropriate extinguishing agent and start the extinguishing process.
Depending on the quality of the extinguishing process, there may be significant smoke development, visibility is lost and the extinguishing attempt fails, at least in the virtual world.
How do trainers and instructors benefit?
The trainer or instructor, but also the other participants, can follow and experience the extinguishing process via „screensharing“.
In addition, the software provides the trainer and the participant with a success evaluation at the end of each session. Did the particpant choose the appropriate extinguishing agent and was the extinguisher used correctly? Was the extinguishing attempt successful? These and other success evaluations are provided by the training and can be analysed in detail.
